garden parties

If you are planning on holding a Garden Party then you must provisionally book the date through the Conference Office. Downing College provides a marquee on the paddock for use in May Week parties.

Permission

You will need to seek permission from the Dean in person. The Dean should sign the Party Booking Form

which you must then get signed by the other College Officers. Start the process to seek permission one month before the event.

Food & Drink

Guests may bring their own drinks or may purchase a ticket for the event, which includes drinks in the inclusive price. No sales of alcohol are allowed. If you wish to have alcohol at the event then you must also provide food. This will be a BBQ supplied by the Catering Department.

1 x 4oz Beef Burger in a sesame seed bun.
1 x Jumbo Sausage in a roll

Mayonnaise, Tomato Ketchup and Relish.
Plastic plates, plastic knives and napkins.

Regular BBQ

£4.00 per person (with staff)
